ITN: Right then David , thanks for giving us the chance to interview you on such short notice .
DB: OK fine
ITN: With all that driving you must do ,up and down the country, do you employ a chauffeur? It must be really tiring with that and Playing football, especially now since your wife has been banned from driving.
DB: What?
ITN: Yes she was stopped by police and was found to be over the limit, she had two pints of Becks inside her..
DB: But Victoria doesn't drink beer..
ITN: Yes , well let's get onto another question , Why did you call your son Brooklyn ?
DB: That's easy , he was conceived there.
ITN: Conceived is a big word for you , do you know what it means ? and just as well you didn't visit Bangkok then !
DB: I'd like to go to China..
ITN: Anyway let's have a football question. When you are playing , how do you communicate with your teammates? Is it a series of hand signals and gestures or is it a series of grunts and groans?
DB: It's a mixture of both really or I might say "Keano pass me the Ball ! " that's Roy Keane's nickname.
ITN: That's very interesting, what do you call Paul Scholes "Ginger Bollocks!"
DB: No we call him "Scholesy " Why do you ask?
ITN: Don't get beyond your station David , I'll ask the questions.
ITN: Now that you are a public figure ,how do you cope with media?
DB: I normally eat pasta ,fish and chicken.
ITN: No David , media not me dinner !
DB: What's that?
ITN: Press , radio , television etc..
DB: Well I read the press, listen to the radio and watch the television.
ITN: Steady on David I'm nearly in stitches with that one. Ha. Ha.
DB: Why ?
ITN: Forget it. Now that you are married to Victoria , they are calling you the Fifth Spice . What do you think of that ?
DB: I'm just a footballer , I don't want to get into that Pop music thing. Anyway I would have to have a nickname like Victoria's called Posh Spice. What would they call me?
ITN: Waste of Spice comes to mind.
ITN: This is the Last question ,being a well known footballer what's it like being RETARDED ?
DB: It's horrible , that game against Argentina in the quarter finals of the World Cup was sickening. I couldn't believe it when the Ref showed me the card. I was kindda numb inside , but that's football and I have to take every game as it comes..
ITN: Well I think that answered that question !!
